Kids Connect program is our community response to the school closing in Maryland in 2020 since March 16. Three community nonprofit organizations in Montgomery County, MD — Lead for Future Academy, Chinese American Parents Association of Montgomery County, and Good System — have joined forces to create a new program, Kids Connect, to help stay-at-home students socialize, entertain, and learn together online.
In the form of more than 200 hours of online classes, our youth volunteers have connected with hundreds of children in our community, and helped them make the most out of the time spent at home. Our team is growing every week. If you are a student and have something to offer to other children, please sign up to offer a class here.
Lead For Future Academy (L4FA) is a community oriented non-profit organization focusing on strengthening and facilitating community services and educational opportunities mainly for K-12 kids, their parents, and community supporters in Clarksburg, MD.
CAPA-MC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to promote Asian American parent involvement in school communities, to advocate on behalf of our students and parents, who are often first generation immigrants, and to establish a strong partnership with all stakeholder to address educational issues and challenges.
